A follow-up to a previous post about Quebeckers' driving habits. In it, I quoted Université Laval professor Jean Marie De Knoninck who heads a government committee on road safety . While he believes 'shock ads' are effective at changing attitudes and behaviours on the road, he added that 'some people don't identify with the violence - it's too over-the-top or surreal for them, like they're watching a movie."
I'm speechless.
For once—I'm a tough audience to disturb— I think this so-called surreal ad may be effective at creating a reaction. It should be aired on TV at prime time every night until we stop seing cell phones being used behind the wheel.
Thx for the post !
