Once in a while I come across a survey that tells quite a bit about the lives of Quebeckers. Here are the answers to a simple question asked of 1,000 Canadians by The Strategic Counsel last July: Have you ever had any of the following to dinner in your own home?
53% of Quebeckers say they've had dinner with their next door neighbour compared to 68% of Canadians in the ROC. Yet, ten years ago 63% of Quebeckers told Yankelovich they considered themselves 'neighbourly' compared to 50% of Canadians in the ROC. I guess it's one thing to say you're neighbourly and another to break bread with your neighbour.
The other results are also quite revealing.
