Recession-themed advertising

John A. Quech, Lincoln Filene Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School, wrote on his blog “When economic hard times loom, we tend to retreat to our village. Zany humour and appeals on the basis of fear are out.”

I would add that this is the time for reassurance and stability, particularly in financial services. But a little humour about the recession and financial matters seems just right for a facial tissue.
